Here at Greater Heights, our goal is to love God, learn His ways, and live obediently. We want that theme to be evident and carried out in each of the ministries here at the church.
As your kids enter the city limits of Heightsville, they’ll pass various attractions such as the local cafe, the backyard barn, and the mechanic’s shop. Centrally located, you’ll find Redemption Theater where the weekly children’s services take place. But no matter the room or place, it’s our desire that your kids will grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Savior Jesus Christ, and that they will make a decision to follow Him all the days of their life.
The teens of Greater Heights have a mission to influence their generation to have a growing, thriving relationship with Jesus Christ. They meet on Wednesday nights at 6:15 PM for a meal, followed by worship and a message at 7 PM. Then, throughout the week, various smaller, teen life groups meet to discus Wednesday’s message and grow in their relationships both with the Lord and with one another.
Adult Life Groups are a great way to connect with people in a smaller, more intimate setting. Here, you can 'do life' with others who may live in your area or be in a similar life stage as you are. They meet at various times throughout the week and can rotate from house to house or even meet at the church. As you meet weekly, you will have the opportunity to discuss Pastor Grinstead's messages and share with others what God is doing in your life.

It’s our desire at Greater Heights, like the AWANA's mission, to see every child have a personal relationship with the Lord. Every Wednesday night throughout the school year, children ages two through sixth grade meet for games, snacks, and most importantly, time spent in the Word, both memorizing Scripture and learning principles to build upon their growing faith.
The people of our community matter to God and to Greater Heights Baptist Church. This is why we are committed to going beyond our campus to serve, care for, and connect with the people who live amongst us. We participate in initiatives that touch the lives of the people who live closest to us — from our neighborhoods to the surrounding communities. The Outreach Ministries that we provide are as follows: Food Pantry, Bus Route, Nursing Home, and Drama Department.
While many of us are not called beyond the community we live in, we are blessed God has provided an avenue to still be involved in foreign missions. Here at GHBC, we support well over 100 missionaries and national pastors in over 50 different countries. Please click HERE to see a list of our missionaries and/or to contact us about presenting at GHBC.
There are a couple groups that are missions-focused. One group, Women About Missions (or WAM for short), is a women’s group that meets to pray for and aid our missionaries throughout the world.
Then there is CORE Missions, which is a mission board for national pastors. By partnering with foreign missionaries and supporting national pastors, they are helping to reach remote villages with the Gospel of Christ. For more information on CORE, you can visit www.coremissions.org.
greater than outreach
Greater Than Outreach is a ministry focused on partnering with like-minded churches to plant new truth-preaching churches throughout America. This goal is achieved through door-to-door evangelism, Bible conferences, and raising financial support. For more information on this ministry, you can visit www.greaterthanoutreach.com.
